Entering into the mail-order health food business

Nippon Shinyaku Co., Ltd. establishes a sales subsidiary company named “Laplus Pharma Co., Ltd.” as of April, 3, 2006 to enter into the mail-order health food business.
　Laplus Pharma carries out direct sale of the health food produced by using the plant extract suited for anti-aging, via TV or Internet from this July.
　Providing new health food brand “Aging Shut”, the health food which combines Akamegashiwa (Mallotus japonicus) extract (excretion enhancing effect) and the grape seed extract (anti-oxidation effect) etc. will be launched as a first step.
Nippon Shinyaku Co., Ltd. has engaged in the health food material business since 1996 based on its original technologies which have been developed by Functional Food Division through the pharmaceutical business.
　Entering into the mail-order business, Nippon Shinyaku aims to strengthen the health food business to meet the increasing needs for self-medication.
