Notice Regarding the First Instance Judgment in a Work-Related Invention Compensation Lawsuit
Kyoto, Japan, March 28, 2025 - Nippon Shinyaku Co., Ltd. (“Nippon Shinyaku”; Headquarters: Kyoto, Japan; President: Toru Nakai) announces today that the Osaka District Court has rendered a first-instance judgment in a lawsuit filed by a former employee claiming 500 million yen in compensation for a work-related invention made during their employment. The court ordered our company to pay 93,998,140 yen.
Regarding future actions, we will make a judgment after carefully examining the contents of the verdict.
