Nippon Shinyaku Selected as a Constituent of the SOMPO Sustainability Index
KYOTO, Japan, July 3, 2025 - Nippon Shinyaku Co., Ltd. (Nippon Shinyaku; Headquarters, Kyoto; President, Toru Nakai) announced that it has been selected for the second consecutive year as a constituent of the SOMPO Sustainability Index, which is managed by SOMPO Asset Management Co., Ltd.
The SOMPO Sustainability Index is composed of approximately 300 companies that excel in ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) initiatives and is used for their asset management activities from a sustainability perspective. The index constituents are reviewed annually based on the results of the Bunanomori Environment Survey and the ESG Management Survey conducted by SOMPO Risk Management Inc.
Nippon Shinyaku is working to strengthen five management foundations under the 7th Five-Year Medium-Term Management Plan, which began in FY2024, as shown below. To promote sustainability management for realizing a sustainable society, we will aim to solve social issues through our business activities, and realize sustainable growth for the company. Our future actions in this matter will be disclosed timely.
