Kyoto, Japan, June 23, 2026 - Nippon Shinyaku Co., Ltd. (Nippon Shinyaku; Headquarters: Kyoto; President: Toru Nakai)  announces that it has entered into a Sponsored Research Agreement (SRA) with Boston Children’s Hospital (Headquarters: Boston, Massachusetts, USA; Chief Executive Officer: Kevin B. Churchwell) for the purpose of developing innovative therapeutic drugs in the field of neurology.

Nippon Shinyaku is committed to the creation of distinctive pharmaceutical products and actively promotes open innovation. In this initiative, Nippon Shinyaku invited research proposals from investigators at Boston Children’s Hospital that have the potential to lead to the discovery of novel therapies for rare diseases, a core area of strategic focus for the company. Selected research themes from these proposals will be advanced as collaborative research projects.

Through co creation, Nippon Shinyaku will integrate Boston Children’s Hospital’s world class research capabilities with the company's drug discovery expertise to promote collaborative research and accelerate the creation of new therapeutic options for patients with unmet medical needs.
